Barre Core (Amanda Carey)

Wednesday 7.30pm - 8.30pm

Core stabilisation and general muscle toning exercises based on Pilates and Ballet are differentiated, and of course, are three-dimensional! Barre movements (plie, releve, battements and retire combinations) are adapted for the mat. These are combined with myofascial training techniques - namely stabilising, toning, pushing, pulling, counter-traction, active lengthening and expansion - to promote versatile muscle conditioning. The result? Fascia is more resilient, joint alignment is optimal and balanced core strength and core stabilisation promote a sense of stability and groundedness.

Vinyasa Flow (Danielle Christina)

Friday 6.15pm - 7.15pm (Starts 4th October)

I'm a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher that trained in Sri Lanka, as I wanted to experience the authenticity of the practice to gain deeper understanding. After practicing for two years, I’ve taught in a number of locations and venues. Yoga is the balance between healthy body and mind, through breath and movement. Asana qualities are not only about the physical body but also the state of the mind. One affects the other. Asana are practised to create strength to be still and flexibility to be comfortable in the movement or posture. It is an expression of mind, body, and breath working in harmony. Through the practice of yoga we can achieve a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Practicing meditation can change this. Meditation can help bring about a natural sense of peace and well-being that can extend to every aspect of our lives.People who meditate regularly develop tools to handle the ups and downs of daily life with more clarity and ease and become able to relate to others with more understanding and tolerance.

These weekly sessions are open to complete beginners and those with
